When I wake my daughter who is 1 up in the mornings, she shakes. I mean not like she is having a seizure shakes, but like shivers, but it's not shivers because her room is not cold, it's more like the shakes. It makes me very nervous, what could this be?

  1. My daughter used to do that when she was little the dr always told me she was just startled when she woke up in the morning, and he was right everything changed when she got a little older, but to make sure i would say something to your dr. just to be safe good luck

  2. Maybe it's a habit or sumthing like that but i have no idea.

I would say take her to a doctor just in case because if this is something bad then you should know in order to take good care of her.

    hope this helped :)

  3. Take her to the doctor to be examined. It could be the beginning of something more serious. The doctor will know what to look for, tests to run to determine the problem.

    That is not normal.

  4. It's very scary but not very harmful! This little girl i know, she shook when you first woke her up all the time. She still does sometimes and she's 3. Not to worry, she's just waking up. But make sure if she starts shaking irratically and rolls her eyes into the back of her head, that you take her to a close nearby pediatrition.

  5. it could be because she needs to eat right away. my sister was the same way. if she didn't eat right away it would get worse.but if you are very concerned take her to the dr for tests.

  6. Children are more sensitive then adults turn the temp in here room up and give her another blanket! If it is not the shivers it could simply be stretching or waking up in her own way! If it scares and concerns you ask a doctor

    Hope i helped!!

  7. Have her checked out by your doctor.  My daughter used to get "shivers" a lot and found out she has epilepsy, she has nocturnal epilepsy but by the time we found out her left frontal lobe was already "atrophied" from the seizures she had during the night that we were not aware of - but she did have "shivers".at times during the day.

Why are you waking her? She may not be getting enough sleep if you are waking her up - and that can also lead to seizures if a child has epilepsy or some other disorder
