Why my 2009 Toyota Corolla Daytime Running Light is always on

I just got a 2009 toyota corolla. I notice the daytime running light is always on. Is it normal? And is there any mode I can switch to so the DRL won't turn on when I drive duning the day? Or will it always be on no matter if I like it or not?
