Why my IP address is different in windows and in web?

Why my IP address is different when i use ipconfig command in cmd

and when i see my ip address in websites like whatismyip.com

for example when i use ipconfig it shows my IP is: 192.168.1.2

and when i use a website it shows something like: 85.15.40.78

(I use a D-Link network (ethernet) adapter for connecting to internet)

192.168.1.2 is the IP address assigned to your computer by your router. 85.15.40.78 is the IP address assigned to your computer by your ISP.

192.168.1.2 is your PCs address on your home network it is a private address and not visible on the internet.  85.15.40.78

it the ip address assigned to your router on the internet by your ISP.  Your router handles all the traffic between the internet and your pc.  your router hides the 192.169.1.2 address from the rest of the internet.
