Why my cpu so noisy during scanning or playing games?

my computer specification

1) pentium 4---3.06GHZ

2) 896mb of ram

3) ATI radeon xpress 200 series ( its not a graphic card ) just a VGA

anyone can help me??

  1. It's ancient first off

    so u probably have a really cheap tower or CPU fan and your computer is always running at maximum load because it's a bit dated for newer apps hence the fan spins faster to cool your processor, therefore more noise!


  2. Get a new fan. It may not be enough for your CPU.  It may be gunked up with dust and debris- better yet open the CPU up and blast it with air to clean it. Hope this helps.

  3. It's perfectly normal for your computer to dynamically increase the speed of the fans inside your computer during CPU and GPU intensive operations.

    Unless it sounds particularly bad (read broken), I wouldn't be concerned.

  5. mine too!   mies a dell, I don't think thats necessarily bad though.  I heard some comps are just louder than others

  6. The only moving part in a computer is the hard drive or CD player or fan

    It sounds as if your game is either hard drive or CD player intensive

    Max out your RAM as a start, because you do not have near enough
