Why my daughter doesnt look like Italian women?

I have Italian ethnic. Compare to other Italian girls, she looks very different. different face, and she have very light skin color for white.

There is no one Italian look. What you think of as typical Italian is more common in the south. You will find all types of people in Italy. There were many fair skinned ancient Romans...Cornelius Sulla the most famous, he suffered from painful sun poisoning, he was so fair (He took to wearing a very big wide brimmed hat when on military campaign because of this)  . Also, Northern Italy was overrun by the Lombards, fair skinned Germans and before that was habituated by Gauls, Celtic people of the same decent as the Irish. Also, the Norman (descended from Viking) invaded Southern Italy and Sicily. That is part of the reason you find some fair blue eyed people in the south.

Are you sure you are Italian?

I just mean that if you are a real Italian then you should know not to stereotype what Italians look like. A lot of Italians are fair skinned and many have blue or green eyes...and not just the Italians from the north. A lot of people from Sicily have blue eyes. My boyfriend is Italian and has green eyes and light hair. We live in Italy and there are many different people with many different looks.

You cannot really say that your daughter does not look like Italian women as there is no set rule for what we look like (I too am Italian.) I would not worry about what your daughter looks like, and I would not let her know that you are worried as she may grow up with a complex.

So what is your question?

What is the ethnicity of her father?  If he is a blonde-hair-blue-eyed man, that it is natural that she sould take some of his characteristics.  Go to Wikipedia and research genetics for more information.

I can also tell you that I started out a blonde haired blue eyed kid, and now I have hazel eyes and deep brown hair.  She may grow out of it.

In Italy you can find different people:

brown/black/blonde hair

blue/green/brown eyes

round/oval face

white/darkish skin (skin of sicilian or calabrese is darker than a northern italian)

there's too much variety of people in Italy and so you don't have to get stunned or disppointed
