  1. I would like suggest to you that you should go to India, really India is the great palace for vacation, I have recently returned from India trip.

My tour was a great experience for me, I have seen there various traditional culture and costume in every different locality, many fort and palaces, the mountain and beaches.

TAJMAHAL (the seventh wonder of the world)

My tour was managed through an Indian travel company, so I would like recommend the same travel company for you, because my tour was very well managed with hotel accommodation and transportation.

    Company website http://www.iconindiatours.com

You can contact them for detailed information.

    Best of luck.

  2. India is one of the oldest and traditional based country. Here you can see unity in diversity. Cost of living is very affordable than any other country. Her the people are good and love giving. You  can see the website for more detail. Best of Luck.

  3. Most of India is very, very poor. They still use leaded gas there so the air quality is terrible. If you go anyway, maybe visit someplace like Dubai.

  4. no i don't think.Every place on earth has its beauty.but it depends on the locals that how they manage their place.India has a rated natural beauty majorly n its Kashmir region.so don't bother yr friends and go on with India ..

  5. India is not bad. It's beautiful actually but there is certainly an element of culture shock for us.

In that way it is an eye opener. But it is not dangerous.

India really bewilders a lot of westerners for these reasons- that there is a lot of pollution in some places, a lot of bad roads and bad traffic and a lot of people in some places. it can be noisy and there are plenty of scammers trying to make money from you and many pickpockets and theives. But not so much violence .But that is about the worst of it.

The positive aspect is the people in general. They are really good hearted, kind, loving and friendly.

These are things that we westerners get annoyed by. I've been here in India a few years now and I found that travelling is pretty good though a bit rough. But when you settle into some community, especially in holy places, and learn to look after yourself there then it is a relief from the getting exploited when you're travelling. I don't know if that makes sense. I guess you have to experience it.

Really it depends what you are looking for. There is always a spiritual seeking aspect to travelling in India which you don't find in many places outside India(Himalayas also).

There are temples everywhere and they are an important part of any visit. Seeing the devotion of the people and their strong beliefs in religion is inspiring.

Singapore and Hong Kong a surely interesting but there is mostly materialism there and costly too. India is one of the cheapest places in the world.

There are lots of inconveniences here but I and other travelllers who have persevered truly believe that tolerating the inconveniences builds strength of character.

    So, come join us.

By the way I'd be happy to assist you further if you come. I often take people around the holy place where I live, free of charge of course. I just love it and like to share what I have.

We are at Rupa Sanatan Gaudiya Math, Seva Kunja, Vrindavan, Mathura, U.P. 281121. An important holy city 4 hours from Delhi.  There are many holy places and rivers in India with very special spiritual significance.  Even old people in India go to great trouble to visit these places annually for spiritual benefit and inspiraton.

    Happy travels

  6. Culturally and historically it is very interesting, but there is a lot of poverty there.  It can be overwhelming for westerners.  I hate to say it, but I found much of India to be filthy.  That's what I liked the least (plus, I got sick from some street food).

It is definitely a good place to visit in your lifetime, but I wouldn't put it at the top of the list.

Have fun and be an extra in a Bollywood soap opera!

  7. I don't know why and what your friends have  warned you  about .  May be your friends had some real bad experience in India. But, you can not generalize it . People live here and India attracts millions of tourists every year ..

  8. I don't see why not!? If you want to go to India then GO by all means! I've travelled all over the world, but I've never been to India. Though I've met many natives of India who were so nice and I've heard the people are all really great and easy to get along with there. It would be an awesome experience by all measures so I don't see any reason why not to go if you want to visit. I really don't think it's very dangerous (although HIV and AIDS is rampant there), violent crime is very low considering the huge population. I honestly don't know enough about the country to give you great advice but it would be a super cool experience.

  9. No India is not so bad.

.But the rising population is the major concern.

corruption at all levels is also giving tourists a headache.

But the beaches of Kerala & Goa r marvelous.

And if u can spend handsomely u can opt for luxury trains like Palace on Wheels etc to tour architectural beauty of Rajasthan

  10. Unless someone gives me a real reason not to do something, with good examples, I usually don't listen to them. If you want to go to India, I say go. By the by, pick yourself up a tabla, while you're there.
