Hello,

Ok the fact is that I've formated a PC yesterday with WinXP SP2, and then I see, the resolution in 640x480 4-bits, and I said, no prob, I'll add the drivers who I backup with DriverGenius before I format it.

Then I add the backup drivers with the device manager, and the devide it was showing as if it was installed, but nothing happens, the same 640x480 4-bits resolution.

So I decided to go to intel support page, and find the software for the name that Everest gave me, and i donwloaded the .exe, then i installed the driver, and the installation wizard, told me that i need to restart the computer, so i restarted.

Once the PC gets restarted, the resolution was correct in 1025x768 32-bits, then I turn off, and turn on again but oh surprise! the resolution was again in 640x480 4-bits.

Ten i reinstalled the drivers again and restart the PC, and it seems correct, but when i restarted again the ugly resolution,. do you know what the h**l is happening here?

The Graphic card is an Intel Integrated Graphics, and the PC is a DELL GX60

Best Regards

  1. I know this is stupid but I think after succesful installs, XP reverts back to your original settings even if your video card can handle higher resolutions.  Just right click on your desktop, go to properties, then settings and pump up your resolution all the way.
