  1. no, you did not change any settings and your battery is not old. are you charging it the time that you are using your laptop. laptops do go darker when there is not enough battery to support what you are searching foror working. these laptops do have a saving energy and it goes darker, which help to use less energy like a sreensaver but it is black. and when it turns off that is when there is no energy left.

  2. Your laptops fine. The screen becomes darker to save energy when it switches to battery :)

  3. Ok theres nothing wrong with your laptop its just that when your laptop is using the battery as a power led it goes into power saving mode... and you can change those settings... first you need to disconnect the power led from the laptop... and double click on the battery icon on right handside of your taskbar... you should get alota options about your battery..

  4. Laptop's do this to save power, If you can change your brightness it'll remember what it was before. But standardly it is on a lower setting to save you ~20 minutes.

  7. hi there,

This is a normal feature usually to improve battery life when you are not connected to the mains power.

You can usually adjust the brightness back up again by pressing a couple of keys (which ones depends on laptop) and if you do not like the brightness going down when on battery this can usually be changed in the laptop BIOS. The BIOS is usually accessed by pressing a key (usually one of the F keys, F2, F10, etc - again varies on laptop), when you start your laptop you will see a "splash" screen with text saying press XX to enter setup. This is where you can change the default usually.

    Hope this helps.
