So should i take my heatlamp out and put a normal light in and get a heat rock to put in .... any answer's are welcome thank's

ps. ive only had him for 2 days so this maybe the problem.

  1. just let him adjust and if his friend is doing good then h**l be doing good

  2. He may be doing this because of the high levels of stress you caused to him because if hes new and you just bought him and right away introduced him to another leo then he may be highly stressed out. You should have the new one quarantined to prevent him from spreading any diseases or parasites to your old one if he has any. The whole purpose of quarantining new animals is to prevent spreading of diseases and so the animal isnt so stressed anymore and get use to their new enviorment.

Never use a heat rock as it may burn your reptiles or any reptiles in general. You shouldnt use a bright light because leos are nocturnal and should have dark coated heat bulbs.

So in my opinion i would seperate them. If you do seperate them you should handle the new leo last to prevent spreading disease if it has any. But if you insist on having them together still, just leave him alone and dont bother him much so he gets use to the new enviorment and the "cold" shouldnt be a problem because if your temps are in the 80's on the cool side it should be ok. I keep my temps in my enclosures at 90 on the hot side and the lower 80's about 83or 84 on the cool side.

    Good luck!
