Why my turtle is still alive?

my turtle has been gone for a week and i finally find it recently and dont get it why its still alive.. i tought it dies with in 3 days without food

Turtles can lives months with illnesses and then finally die. A week really isn't a long time considering they can live up to 100 years or longer depending on the type of turtle. Just be grateful that it is still alive and well!

Three days is nothing. If you feed it more often, you either have a very young one or you are overfeeding it. I feed mine about once a week or so during the summer to once a month of so during the winter. We've been together since 1965.

it is still alive is because when they are in the wild they dont eat every single day. some go 3 days some go 5. i have a couple my self and i had a busy couple days and i couldnt feed them for 3 days and they were fine and also when it got out it could have found some other food for it like worms and etc.

Turtles can live to be close to 100 yrs old...  Since they hibernate in the winter, I'm sure their bodies can handle a few days without food...

i have had turtle's for 12 years.they can live 1-2 week's wit out food

well I hope your feeding him fish and get the rep light on and rejuvinate him fast..give lettuce also..

he should be ok..jusr get him to eat that is the most important!

U never now, maybe he could have found some scraps laying around.

Also turtles can last a few days without food.

But I guess the one who really knows how they survived is ur turtle.
