Why my webcam dont work?

hi! pls help me fix my webcam, i dont whats happen to my webcam. when i click it, it says that locked by another appllication. when im in yahoo messenger when i click the icon "my webcam" it says "webcam is not connected. i dont what is wrong with my webcam. hoping to hear from you! thank you and God bless you!
