Why nashik doesnt have air service?

though nashik city has an airport at gandhinagar, why air service is not started yet from there?whats the problem?

  1. Nashik is close by to and well connected with mumbai  and pune and people of nashik would prefer taking a bus or train rather than going thru airport checking and paying more


  2. Air Deccan had started daily flights from  Chatrapati Shivaji Domestic Airport, Mumbai to Nasik Ozar airport.  However, the flights have been suspended  due to very low traffic.

  3. NASHIK WORD CAME FROM CUTTING THE NOSE OF SURPANAKA AND THE NOSE DOES IS INTAKE OF AIR AND OUTLEAVING AIR ,THUS SO NASHIK DOES NOT HAVE AIR PORT.
