My rubber plant has been healthy for the last two years. At spring, it started growing many new leaves but those new leaves are now dying. Some turned yellow and other have white spot on them and look sick. You ca view photos of the leaves there:

Older leaves seem fine. Any idea?

  1. Ficus  Elestica is a very trustworthy houseplant and rarely has problems. Yellowing of the leaves can be  caused by over/under watering, wait till almost dry before adding water. Too little light or cold draughts can also cause this. The white spots are probably powdery mildew, which forms white leaf spots. these may be wiped off, and make sure the atmosphere is not too humid. Feed with weak water based fertilizer on each watering.

  2. Most plants have a specific fertilizer and care.  Check with your local nursery or call the Master Gardener's office in your city.
