  1. depends on the size of the house and whether it is a bungalo or if it is a raised bungalo... if it turns your house into three floors then it is worth more... However if you have a basement and live in a bungalo a raised bungalo is worth more money that a regular bungalo!

    hope this helps!

  2. I live in western Pennsylvania, and most homes have basements here.  However, my mother-in-law lives in North Carolina and she doesn't.  The only way that I can see a basement increasing a home's value is if it is finished and can provide more living space.

  3. The more space...The more it is worth.

  4. if the land is somewhat wet then you couldn;t or shouldn't have a basement because it will flood and be humid.  basements give you more space but can cause the foundation of a house to fall in an earthquake

  5. My daughter and I would never choose a home without a basement! In Austria, the basement is the most sacred part of the house.
