Why no Americans talk about baseball match today here?

It was the EPIC match.... why no Americans talk about baseball today? Korea beat USA 9 to 8 dramatically. America make 8 to 7 and almost beat korea in 9th and Korean make it 9 to 8 and beat America dramatically. It is the greatest match so far in olympic. though Koreans don't care about baseball that much(Koreans care about football), we beat you in your traditional sport. Why NONE Americans talk about baseball match today??? Is it common for Americans to avoid to talk about something they lose?

Because they did not even play against the best USA players. If we sent over Major League players, the same results would take place like what is happening with basketball.

In all honesty, most Americans are following the Major League Baseball season at home because the season is winding down and post season races are heating up. We could care less about olympic baseball.

Congratulations to Korea. I am sure it was an exciting game. It sounded that way. The Olympics do nothing for me though. Sorry.

Well, the players on that team are all minor leaguers. If major leaguers were on that team, it'd be like the US's basketball team. They'd win in blowouts. The US don't talk about their Olympic baseball team, because not a lot of people care how other countries can beat a minor league team.

Because our best players aren't even there. We don't care about Olympic baseball. We want to watch MLB baseball. To tell you the truth I didn;t even know they had played a game, and I have no idea who is on the team. I'm glad your country won something. Come play us in football and see what happens.

I am an American citizen living and working in China.  I was impressed, and surprised, and pleased, by the defeat of the USA team by the Korean team.  The "National Pastime" of the Americans has been internationally spread successfully.

That or we sent our Double AA prospects over there to get some exposure, the people who are getting paid the big bucks (the proven talent) are playing in a league that is superior to the olympics.  Baseball shouldnt even be in the olympics now that the world baseball classic is around.  Actually, it should stay how it is, the olympics has and always should be a showcase for amateur athletes around the world, and thats who the US sends to represent them in baseball.

Congratulations.  We have not performed well in the Olympics for quite a few years in Baseball, most Americans do not even pay attention to the USA Baseball squad because it is made up of minor leaguers that were expendable by the farm team they were playing for.  It just goes to show that Korea is building a great program for baseball which is great for everyone.  Good Luck the rest of the Olympics!

2006 you had a great run...beat the Americans once though...not twice!  You have a great program be happy about that; you have Chan Ho Park (washed up in MLB) and Hee Soop Choi (almost was something)...good luck in the future!
