Why no Incometax deductions at source for pensioners ?

Question

To help old persons running around for payments of Incometax the same must be collected at source.All income above minimum total salary/pension,tax must be recovered/deducted at source.This will help bothGovernment & Individual.One can easily file return for any recovery(es).For senior citizens the age criteria of above 60 yrs must be considered by finance ministry also.Why they consider 65 yr & above?Also there should be dividand awards for 20 and above years Incometax payers.Government has done lot of works by such contributions.Like other private companies they must give back to people what incometax payers contributed for nation building. Who will listen? Not our FM who is busy thinking how to get more from us.,which area left from service tax?..etc. Just think in 20yrs & above we have contributed a lot for our government to run their shows.Now we deserve some relief in form of such bonus/dividands.What do you think?

they have p[aid the incom tax  for last 38 years and  pension is hardly meet daily need so it is good that pensonars are not to pay incom tax

There are some people that think that because you get older you do not have the right to live and this a lot of the younger generation. To give too many rights to the younger people will not give the senior citizens many rights that they deserve when they get older. This is the real world, you pay when you are young and you deserve a break when you are old.

I'm confused by your question. It doesn't sound like you are in the USA. However, you are correct when you say that we should get more back than we do when we reach retirement age. That is why we need changes in our current Income tax and Social Security payment system.
