Im just curious as to why there wasnt a full crowd to the Hall of Fame match tonight?

They can get 90,000 to the Anzac day game, but only 70,000 to this game? (not that 70,000 is something to be ashamed of) , just wondering if there was a reason.

  1. because the vic are cra.................................p

  2. The original State of Origin games were marvellous but I think the issues are;

    - they haven't been played it for 9 years

    - the game was not played in it's original format

    - we have a whole generation who can not remember the State of Origin being played at all

    - we don't know if they will play it again

It takes time to build interest in a competition of any kind and I feel that the 9 year absense has really hurt AFL State of Origin. In order to generate more interest, they would have to probably go back to the Vic/Sa/WA/Allies format to build up to a State of Origin grandfinal and do it at least every 2 years to keep the spirit alive.

  3. there was the forecast of rain......

there has been a lot of publicity but obvioulsy a lot of people thourght it would be a soft game as none of the players would take it serriously.

  4. why why why

why does a priest molest kids

why does a wife nag until a hubby drops dead

why do people have to work

why are Victorians the best footy teams

why even ask a stupid question why

  5. Because its boring and annoying it's not as good as a home match for your club

  6. no idea i expected a full house for that game

  7. Because the AFL made a blue in selecting the criteria for the match. So many people knew it wokld be boring. Players don't give 100% in case they get injured. The best team was not selected. They may as well have just selected the wet team from SA. Or just from indigionous players.

It was an utter waste of time & nearly everyone knows it. Those who deny that fact just wont admit to the truth.

  8. because collingwood wasn't playing

if they got 70.000 to an NRL game

the fudge packers would love it

  9. Two main reasons stand out to me, the weather forecast was showers for Melbourne, the other was that it was beamed live into Melbourne, as you said 70,000 was still pretty good, tige/coll got 74,000  from memory, the aust v NZ test match in league got 34,000 reportedly, 4,000 short of full, but there where so many empty seats, they were telling 'porky pies' for sure.
