Because NBC owns the rights to broadcast basketball games for the Olympics.

Personally, I like NBC basketball presentation. The NBA on NBC theme song still rocks!

Because GE/Universal owns NBC who owns the rights to the Olympics in North America.

I love how NBC is playing the classic NBA on NBC theme song for basketball.

The commentators are also much better than them Disney/ABC/ESPN boozos.
