Question:

Why no more Baseball?

I've seen field hockey, water polo, all manner of strange activities that no one knew were sports in this Olympics, but we can't have Baseball anymore? Arguably the most popular sport in the western hemisphere, with a huge following in Asia, but it's out. But we keep trap shooting and beach volleyball. What's up with that?

  1. It's all about number of competitive countries. Baseball and softball have been judged to come up short in that department.

  2. On the news they said that because the MLB won't suspend their season to let the MLB players play. They are looking for stars like they have with the "Dream Team" in basketball.

Personally I think that is a stupid reason and that the NBA players should not be aloud to play in the Olympics.

Also I heard to add to your list of countries that like baseball Australia has a baseball following as well.

Answer mine too please its a simlar question.

  3. Not enough countries play the game. The games you mentioned have been in the Olympics for years.

  4. C'mon now; everyone knows that trap shooters are the world's most elite athletes.

On the other hand, baseball involves only completely unathletic skills.  You know, like running and throwing.

Why, as a democrat, are you for McCain?
