Why no tourist bother with Franche Comte, France?

Question

It's a wonderful place with very good food, the sceneries are exceptional.

There's not the sea, but few wonderful lakes in which we can bathe in summer.

Good ski resort, yet cheaper than the one in the Alpes.

Wonderful wines, including the "vin jaune" (yellow wine)

So why there's not so many tourist there?

They are all probably in the same boat as me and never heard of it.

don't say that or you will have all the British going and buying homes there

Noooo! Don't say a word about it, They will come if you do! It's hard enough to find a place not swamped with tourists...

i`d rather keep it quiet and bet on swiss tourists...when you look at the Jura, it doesn`t need no more to be what it is

Il faut que vous advertiser en les publicites..  Peut-etre vous pouvez avoir une vacance a bon-marche?  Si on va a Franche-Comte et on l'aime bien, on va retourner.  Toute le monde ne connait pas le Franche comte bien de toute.

Aussi - Je voudrais vous conseiller!  Penser bien avant desirer que beacoup de touristes vont chez vous!

I think one of the main reasons is accessibility - by car, there are lots of other regions of France which are closer, and by air you'd have to fly to Geneva and hire a car.
