Why not Contact Lens?

Question

Some say glasses are better than contact lens. I don't know if there are any medical reason behind it. apart from keeping and watching for for contact lens, I don't know what are the bad things about it.

Try contact lens and see if you can wear them, and like wearing them. If, you don't like them, then you can look cool and smart with a pair of hot glasses.

Glasses sucks because when your doing sports or your starting to sweat and then the glasses will slightly slip of your nose , and you always have to keep it clean , and also its more easier to break when balls are kicked to you .

Contacts are better , they dont slip off ,you dont have to clean it like glasses and you'll look better

I've heard people say that contacts are a bit better than glasses since they keep your prescription stable so that it doesn't change as dramatically as it sometimes does when wearing glasses. However, the main concern about contacts is your own ability to keep them clean. Since they are on your eye for such a long period of time, you want to have super clean hands, and clean your contacts really well before inserting them. If you get lazy, you might end up with infections.

Never heard that, I wear both. Contacts can be serious, because if you fall asleep in them you can damage your eyes pretty bad

My brother LOVES his contacts.

He never wore his glasses because it bothered him to put them on and off. So wearing contacts and never taking them off.

He loves them.

I would definetly stay with contacts.

Which is better?

For most sports, contacts.

(but for shooting or archery, usually glasses)

For the very best vision, usually glasses, except in the rain.

(Except with very high Rx's where the peripheral distortions in glasses may be more important)

In terms of the risk of infection, allergies or other health problems, glasses.

For *looking* natural, contacts.

For *looking* intelligent, glasses.

Actually, day contacts aren't that good for your eyes, they can infect your eyes and tend to be dirty. Night contacts are expensive and uncomfortable,(people usually get use to them, i am wearing them right now) After time if you wear them every night your eyes can restore your vision to 20-20. That is if you clean them properly and do not break them, they are expensive to replace. Costs $700. Sometimes you can slack off and not wear them at weekends when you are not working. They are actually good for your eyes if you are a teen or p*****n, because your eyes continue to grow, and wearing this can adjust your eye back to original state. Glasses are durable, but sometimes if your a kid, and wear them for a long time, your eyes can get worse alot faster. If you are an adult, it doesn't matter. If you are under 20, I strongly recommend getting night contacts if you can afford them. If you are an adult, you can wear glasses if you do not want to take time to put these contact lenses on and care for them. Glasses are not better, they are cheaper and easier to take care of and easily replaceable.

I have been wearing contacts for 10 years and they are nice to wear once in awhile instead of your glasses but they can be a pain. For example, sometimes your contacts get very dry and if you aren't able to get some solution or eye drops in, the contact could stick to your eye and if you pull it off, it could damage your cornea. It's really scary when your contacts get super dry and you are wearing them. I've done it before and made it through but I have heard of stories where people's contacts dry onto their eyes. Another bad situation can happen if you do a lot of baking or grilling. Too much heat can cause your contact to melt onto your eye and that would be a very bad thing!

well, there is usually more problem with contact .

with glasses , it allow your eye too breath .

if you follow instruction the optician gave you , it can be as safe
