Why not Venus Why Mars? Planets of our solar System?

So im just Curious you know i mean isnt Venus the Closes Planet to Earth , and Wouldn't it Take less work for Nasa Scientist to send a Robot to Searh for Water you know Life theres got to be something in there why mars i mean looks like New Mexico Desert nothing just rocks and you can barely see it as for venus you have clouds and heloooo clouds there could be sings of life in there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??? im just saying . im not that dumb when it come to science is just that i forgot about that stuff back in school so ya..

it is mainly due to the atmospheric pressure on venus which is about 93 times of earth.

so, the robots cannot survive for a long on venus as they can on mars

1st off mars is closer to earth. Water is a sign of life not CLOUDS! plus venus has veryyy hot temperatures for there to be life in it. Thats why nasa has never sent a robot to venus to search because of the hot clouds. But mars does have lotsa evidence of life. They recently found parts of mars that has ice covers on it.

Venus is closer.  But that doesn't mean that it's easier to get to.  To some extent, it's easier to add orbital energy to get to Mars than get rid of it to get to Venus.

The surface of Venus is hot enough to melt lead.  The Russians have landed several probes there, which, due to heat, last a few minutes to an hour.  And, Venus has been mapped via RADAR.

There have been noises about the US sending a lander to Venus with a Sterling engine for cooling that would last longer than a few minutes.  No idea what the mission goals might be.

But don't expect any water on Venus.

There has been some speculation that there could be microbes in the upper atmosphere of Venus.

I didn't learn any of this in school.  I learned it because i was interested.  My astronomy club has an extensive library, including text books on Martian geology, weather, orbital mechanics, as well as observational stuff.  Our policy is that you can check stuff out for as long as you want.  So you can take your time, and have fun with it.  That's right, i'm reading a martian geology textbook for fun.

you cant go on venus. it take lots of effort to go to venus. u have to survive most dense atmospher in solar system and hot temeprature. clouds in venus are made of sulpharic scid. i dont think life can be possible in sulpharic acid. so ther are no chances of life on venus.

Venus is extremely hot and inhospitable.  The atmosphere is mostly CO2.  Sure there could be life, but it's easier to make craft to go to Mars.
