Why not anasta for 5/8?

Question

that was so stupid putting wallace and bird. They have 3 roosters forwards and if the slectors are thinking about combinations, there are three other roosters forwards anasta knows how to work with and he is a more traditional 5/8. Bird only has Gallen and Wallace is unfamiliar with everyone in the team

If you haven't noticed but Anasta has been voted (by the footy players) one of the most overerated players over the past couple of years until Jamie Lyon came back. Bird was only selected because of the past two test matches. If they want to go with combination they should have placed Matt Orford as half back. He and Prince are the most overlooked players.

I agree, he would of been one of the first picked for me. Bird and Wallace do seem on paper to be a very week combo.The only players in the Blues lineup that are teammates are Cooper and Gasnier. Qld has Slater/Folau/Inglis/Smith from Storm and Hodges/Hunt from Brisbane.

Anyways, go the blues.

Why not Prince more like. Wallace has been playing awsome though and I would definately agree with selectors choosing Wallace over Anasta.

With Darren Lockyer injured for most of this season Wallace has stepped up to be Broncos major playmaker and Broncos are doing rather well this year. So, thank you Penrith!

Jeez, you Guys are harsh.

Why don't you rubbish the overrated players who have been there and consistently failed in this arena for the last couple of years and actually give Wallace a go. He is a dominant halfback at NRL level, based on his performances at the Broncos this year. Lockyer was out injured and they didn't miss a beat, mostly thanks to this Guy.

You will only know if he is upto origin by giving him a chance.

why not anasta?...... coz he cracks under pressure! anasta is only good outside a dominant half back..... and we dont have one of those.

as for bird he is a strong runner of the ball, he reminds me of Trent Barret, strong and unrelenting..... he will go well!

and Wallace..... i haven't seen him play much, but i dare say he's there for a reason, and i think we will find out in game 1

Does that mean to say that you do not ever want Anthony Laffranchi or Luke Bailey to play for NSW cuz they play for the Titans.

Anasta has had his chances in the past and he has never delivered for a whole series. He usually gets picked has a blinder in game 1 and then costs NSW the game in game 2 and then therefore gets dropped. The selectors have got ir right not picking him.
