Question:

Why not double the number of horses in a horse race?

Today, we had 20 horses in the Kentucky Derby and it was terrific. Why not have 40 or 50 horses and double the excitement?

  1. Hmmm.....That sounds like something someone would say after drinking about 20 Mint Juleps.


  2. its hard enough to bet on the right one with the number that they have now

  3. There is not enough room on the track for that many horses. This would certainly cause a lot of injuries to horses/jockeys, which many times means putting the horse to sleep. =(
