I dont understand why the Cardinals did not put Warner in for a couple of series. I understand that they wanted Lienart to have more reps, but he was only in for two series! Give the old man a chance! He's the best option for success in the desert this year! I thought this was supposed to be an open competitions...

  1. The Cards are in denile.  Even though they say Grimehart is the starter, they know Warner is better.  They're gonna start Grimehart for only 2 or 3 games in hopes that he plays well and they don't have to sit him on the bench, making them look real supid for  spending so much money on him.  But, deep down, they know Warner will be starting by week 4 and they need the old guy healthy!

  2. I like Warner alot, but Leinart's the franchise. If you want a positive return on your investment, you have to let it develop. Warner's a stand-up guy. He'll stand in when needed, perform, and be a great teacher.

  3. They invested too much money in Leinart already. It is only called an open competition so that there is less controversy. They did not put Warner in because they want to make people understand that it isn't going to be like last year when they rotated.

  4. i have to agree with you.to give lienart the starting job is just stupid. i think that warner is the best chance of winning. hes a better passer, smarter and has more experience. lienart looked ok tonight but overall he hasn't even been average. i think lienart is a flop. just like bush, the USC transition has been brutal for them because in college they have the best players to help them. in the nfl they have to learn that there is no division 2 schools to beat up. the cardinals should start looking for someone new in the next few seasons. to many young offense's weapons to waste with an average qb throwing the ball.

  5. Lienart is the guy for the future.  I don't think the Cardinals are a playoff caliber team this year with Warner or Lienart.  You might as well start building a team around Lienart.
