Why not have an account with one million dollars in it for school or housing for each tax payer in the US?

Why not borrow a million for each individual American to give all of us a real stake in the Country. An opprotunity for all of us to get ahead.

We can afford all of us having our college education paid, we could could use it on housing or medicine. Face it, we are borrowing billions for the war. There are about 380 million people in the Country, so one million for each person is 380 million dollars.

Why not finanice the one million like we are finacing the War in Iraq? ONE MILLION FOR EACH PERSON IN THE UNITED STATES TO pay for necessary things like housing, education, transportation, medication or whatever major expense is needed. It could be regulated in a reasonable way, and even millionaires would get their share.

Why should we all have to pay for a stupid and murderious war that is going to cost 2 trillion dollars. We could afford one million for each of us!

You need to re-do your math.

There are about 300 million Americans, not 380 million.

A million dollors each would be 300 million , million

300 million:  300,000,000 * $1,000,000 = $300,000,000,000,000 that is 300 trillion dollars.

Our current debt is 9 trillion dollars, which costs about $450 billion to service each year.  a 309 trillion dollar debt would cost $14 trillion to service - about 5 times the current federal budget that covers everything.

Then we would all get to pay taxes at the 35% level.

We would all be "the rich".

Congress would raise the highest rate to inflict it on all of us.

What a great way to institute the "flat tax".

Then we could join Harry Ried and Murtha and Pelosi in justifying taxing us to death in order to support the world.

Besides, if we all had 1 million dollars, what do you think would happen to the price of milk.

Haha, so much for the value of the dollar. See, it doesn't matter how much money everybody has, it only matters how much that currency is worth. If there was only $1 in the entire world, if you had 1 cent, you'd be one of the richest people in the world. If everybody was given a dole for $1 million, prices would go up and it wouldn't help pay for anything.

Haha...Hitler tried to do this in World War II. That is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard...giver everyone a million dollars...haha that would destroy our economy.

Have you ever heard of earning your way? Are you another criticiser who wants security from the cradle to the grave?Get ahead on your own effort, work for your college education! What have you done for me or anyone that we would be gracious enough to give you a "free ride" Try going to Russia. They are all for giving all the free education, military conscription, free passage to Siberia. Won't cost you a penny. I'll even take up a collection for a " one way fare".
