  1. I don't think it is so much people don't believe in alien crafts, just that no one has every successfully proven one do exists.  There are a lot of hoax out there, so it is only fair for people to become skeptics.  It is hard NOT believing other life forms is out there.  Space is vast and the distant great.  Other life forms must exist out there, it is just that they're having the same problems we're having in trying to travel across billions of light years.

  2. I'm totally open minded. I'd belive almost anything. I guess that why I fall for pranks a lot... :P

No, seriously. Anyone who doesnt keep one, misses out on all the fun stuff that comes with it! I mean, if you dont belive in Aliens, Sci-Fi is terribley boring. If you dont belive in a higher being, religion is stupid, etc

  3. I don't know.  I'd never shoot someone down who genuinely believed they had a lose encounter of the third kind and in the grand scheme of things I think it probably very likely Aliens do exist.

Given the size of the universe and numbers of planets out there i think it would be foolish to believe we are the only intelligent life out there.

Now when it comes to Aliens visiting earth, being seen by people or abducted I am very sceptical for many reasons.

    1.  Aliens who were capable of travelling the between stars are unlikely to be interested in a civilisation which has barely left it's own planet.

    2.  Again if they were so technologically advanced why did they let people see them?

    3.  Most of the people who claim to have been abducted are less than convincing, as is the evidence.

In the words of Molder I want to believe.  I use to day dream about aliens coming to visit earth when I was young but I'm afraid I grew up and became a realist. (which I'm not at all happy about by the way).

There's a difference between being open minded and gullible.

However it is interesting that so many people are willing to believe in God (in all his/her forms) but scoff at a belief in aliens.  I suppose it's the difference between the socially acceptable improbable and the plain improbable.  Personally I know which one I'd bet on to be true.

  4. when one comes up, i'll be more open-minded about it.
