Absolutely not! A country without borders is not a country. The vast majority of illegals are not what you claim, they are here to take what they can and destroy it. More citizens are killed by illegals than in the war and our economy is at it's worst because of them. They need to go,deportation in mass numbers is what we need.

WHY SHOULD THEY BE ALLOWED TO COME HERE AND LIVE FOR FREE OFF OF MY HARD TAX PAYING DIME. THEY DO NOTHING BUT GET ON WELFARE, FOOD STAMPS, AND WHATEVER ELESETHEY CAN GET. WE HAVE ENOUGH OF THAT STUFF GOING ON WITHOUT IMMIGRANTS AND TERRORISTS GETTING ADDED TO "THE SPIT OUT A KID GET A CHECK FREE LIST"  OR "THE JUMP THE BORDER WITH A FAKE ID CAUSE YOU ARE A CHILD MOLESTOR". THE ELDERLY PEOPLE  CAN'T EVEN GET THE MEDICAL ATTENTION AND MEDICINES THAT THEY NEED BECAUSE ALL IMMIGRANTS AND TERRORISTS THINK THAT OUR COUNTRY IS A BIG DANG SANTA CLAUS YEAR ROUND. I FOR ONE AM SICK AND TIRED OF IT. I THINK WE SHOULD KEEP THE BORDER UP TO KEEP IMMIGRANTS AND TERRORISTS FROM COMING OVER

Nope.  Most countries don't have their population computerized.  And I say, you wanna come to the US, offer to go over and fight in Afghanistan for 4 years, and we'll think about it.

An important part of becoming an American citizen is learning about the history of this country. A lot of blood has been shed in our short 200+ year old existence, to get us the freedoms we enjoy. Our freedom of speech allows us to make jokes about or help prosecute our leaders without retaliation. Only a handful of other countries allow this.  And not everyone who comes here is going to be able to compete. Some will come without knowing English or having a skill. Many Mexicans had their anchor babies born here and they were Americans by law. But their parents didn't speak English so the children overburdened our educational system with ESL classes and teachers. The bill for delivering that anchor baby was probably never paid by the parents. Many clinics went out of business because those bills weren't paid. Yes this country is rich financially, but no country can sustain a constant influx of millions of people who become a burden.

That would be a good idea..And for everyones info, YOU CANT GET WELFARE IF YOU ARE NOT A CITIZEN OR A RESIDENT IF YOU HAVE NO SS# THEN YOU CANT GET HELP! So the illegals don't just come here for that, And for those who don't like them people are probably the ones that hire them!!! And no matter who says what they are still gonna come and have the jobs that us AMERICANS dont want to do!

It is estimated that 1 billion people want to come to the US. Where are you going to put 1 billion people? The US infrastructure would collapse under that many people. That means no water, sewage, food, highways would become parking lots, etc.

The government benefits cow would die also (FBI statistics):

1) 43% Food Stamps go to illegal aliens

2) 41% unemployment checks go to illegal aliens

3) 58% of welfare payments go to illegal aliens

4) 60% of HUD run housing is occupied by illegal aliens

making them legal will not stop the benefits cow but adding 1 billion more people will! Who do you think pays for all this?

All I know is the people who have answered your question friend need to wake up and really know who is on welfare.  Mostly whites followed by blacks and then way down we see the immigrants.  

I hear you about opening them up.  Most come with a working attitude that built this country and they work, don't get into trouble and pay their bills.  PAY THEIR BILLS WITH CASH.  Not credit.  One day they will probably take over when they are the only thing in america not fully indebted.

Good question...I think the U.S. border is already open :-)...Piggy backing on what In pursuit said...Welfare is dominated by Americans...Most immigrants are hard working...They do pay in cash...Yes and some are child molesters,drug dealers,gang bangers and some are in need of a driver safety course...I know people born here who also do these things...With the money they put into our economy I cant forsee a change...You can either take a Spanish class or start cutting your own grass or maybe washing your own car...You savvy english...
