What if you see a guy who looks just like the predator? And you assume it is him and you confront him and tell him...whatever...get away you rock spider creep and leave my kids alone. Someone nearby hears this. They do not like predators and are prone to violent displays of temper. They beat this person to a bloody pulp and at their arrest it becomes clear that this was never the person you thought it was. But his jaw is still broken His skull is still fractured. His life is still ruined because many people will have overheard him being accused of pedophilia and an accusation like that sticks no matter what.

So that is why.
