Question:

Why not stop bathing?

I personally do not bathe more than once or twice a year. It would save a lot of water and energy if people would just bathe less. Why don't environmentalist promote less bathing?

  1. Germs will go to your body when you don't take a bath so you should ALWAYS take a bath everyday.

  2. Hmm.  If everybody in the world stopped bathing, we couldn't stand to live so close together.  So we would live farther apart, and there wouldn't be room for more population growth.

Also, the lack of bathing might cut down on the whole dating and s*x and reproduction thing.  Which could stop the population explosion.  Which could solve most of our environmental problems.

    Hey, this could work!

  3. That is an interesting question. Well here where I live (Australia) there is very little rain here. I think that may be a good idea as the farmers are really the ones that really need the rain as they grow food for us.

Because the ocean is BIG and clean why not there? Its clean and NATURAL not like in chlorine, there are chemicals and strong things for our bodies?

Environmentalists are telling us to shower at least 1 minute less because there is hardly any rain here.

There is someone famous (but now dead) that used to live a long time ago, he was the husband of Catherine but I dont know her full name. Both were high class people and her husband only washed twice a year!

WATER IS VERY IMPORTANT AND VERY VALUABLE. IMAGINE LIVING IN AN AREA THAT HAS LITTLE RAIN.

  4. yea,

i think i would rather stay clean than

    "save the planet"

and taking a shower TWICE a YEAR!

    omfg.

dude, please go take a shower.

    thats nastyy.

do you want to stink up the whole planet and BURN the

    O-zone?!

  5. Because its not the answer to anything.Dude take a bath! Soap and Water are not scarce lol,I hope you were just kidding,it certaintly can't be healthy.

  6. They do, Environmentalists suggest that you take a time limited shower because it uses so much less power and water. Whenever you use less you of anything you are saving money too

  7. I know that when I go camping for a couple of weeks in the high country, I don't shower or take a bath but I always am either able to take a sponge bath or fall into a stream...I never camp where there isn't water nearby!

You know when its really time to bathe when you crunch when you walk!

  8. If I didn't shower, I would be very greasy and unpleasant to be around. It's probably an option for some though...but not me. Good idea.

  9. Because the stench will kill me. Be kind to others and take a bath. I Will send the sope!

  10. That is disgusting and unhealthy.

Anyway, water is a totally renewable resource. Rain renews it for us.

  11. "WHATEVER THE MIND CAN CONCEIVE, IT CAN ACHIEVE."  Someone above said "water is a completely renewable resource." It is...only if you collect, filter, treat & re-use on an individual level. Which most of us do not. We should!! The population (not all) rely on the city's treatment plant to do it for us. Don't stop bathing! I do agree that some soaps, shampoo have chemicals in them that we would rather avoid. the environmentalist ARE promoting water conservation not avoidence of hygene. I saw on cable TV, I think on the East Coast, a single family detached home in the city (2-3 stories) that was TOTALLY off the grid. They produced their own electric, heat and the water they collected from the shower & sinks (called gray water), and from the toilets (called black water) was collected, filtered, treated and introduced back into the holding tank (years ago, a lot of people had these & called these "cisterns") to be reused. They had their own mini-treatment plant inside the home! The only reason they would use water from the city, is when they needed to "top off" the holding tank because of evaporation! Another family in Chicago showed how a household did a similar thing by collecting the "used" water from the shower & sinks, then treated & filtered it. They used that water to flush the toilets ONLY! They also collected rain water!
