Why not tax SS for ALL the income. that would stop the fund from running out.?

  1. There are many many solutions to the SS problem... taxing *all* income is just one of them. Unfortunately the politicians are in the pockets of the rich people. If all income was taxed the rich people would have to <gasp!> start paying their fair share too. They don't want to pay any more taxes. The politicians do what the rich people want or else say bye-bye to hefty campaign contributions and other "perks"

    And to play fair, they should adjust the Alternative Minimum Tax income limitations, at least for COLA, since inception while they're at it!

    It just makes too much d**n sense.

  4. SS was intended to be individuals putting away money for their own retirement.  Now the politicians and a good deal of others see it as an entitlement program.  I have put into SS all of my life but will not receive a dime.  How many people that never put in a dime will get mine?
