  2. There should be a deposit law on them and reused to make electricity, not into the landfill.

    They burn cleaner than coal.

  3. It can be done, but so far the amount of energy required makes the process uneconomical.  Tires are being receycled for many other uses, however, and even burned for fuel in some factories.

  4. Take a look at Near Bore Resources. they have a processing facility near Kilgore, TX, that has recycled about 2,000,000 pounds of waste tires (so far) into oil and carbon black. they are doing so at quite a nice profit, and are currently quadrupling their capacity.

  6. while you are out converting a billion tires to oil, would you mind setting up 4 trillion dollars worth of solar panels to power the entire U.S. or some other impractical scheme?
