  1. in case u never noticed swimming is a sport of the privaleged few many affrican ammericans dont get a chance to even learn to swim and many have a fear of it.......thats why wealthier countries and the affluent people(whites) dominate it as for track....thats something that anyone can do and the blacks just train harder at track than whites but u do have hard working whites like jeremy warriner of the usa and the Russians are great sprinters too its nothing to do with genes

  2. black people actually have greater muscle mass and bone mass, it makes them slightly stronger and faster on land however it also makes them slightly heavier, which hinders their performance in the water.

the actual difference is pretty small, however at worldclass level that's where you see the difference.

  3. i think it comes from genes.

  4. But white people did win on the track and black person did win in swimming.  So what are you talking about??????

  5. To get right down to it, it's an example of the diversity of nature.

Take fish for example.  Some have survived millions of years

by feeding off of the bottom, others on the top.  Some eat other

fish, some eat other sea creatures, some eat only plants and

algae.  Birds: most fly, some don't. some nest on the ground,

others in trees, others in the rocks.  Some bears climb trees,

    some don't.

Every kind of plant and animal has developed their specialities,

as a way of surviving.  And within each species, many diversities

    exist also.

Mankind is no different from the rest of nature in this regard.

So yes, some races can run faster than others, just like

some trees can survive and thrive in cold temperatures, while

    many others can't.

And, oh by the way, all of this is subject to change.  A few

hundred of thousands of years from now, it could all look

    different, because of evolutionary factors.

  6. I have thought about that in the past, and I have also thought about the fact that all the best sprinters are from the Caribbean and all of the best long distance runners are from northern Africa (Kenya and Ethiopia areas), so even within the black race there is a separation in running. The separation must be attributed to genetics and a survival of the fittest selection of traits based on the areas the people are living in. as for the difference between whites and blacks in swimming and track, it is the bone density difference as someone else stated, blacks tend to have a bigger bone build which suites track and whites tend to have slimmer less dense bones which suites swimming

  7. genes

  8. There have been white track stars, and there are black swimmers.  One American swimmer on the 4x100 relay was African American. He has a gold medal now, and is quite fast.
