Why now are all these young teen girls wearing so much eyeliner?!!!

Like, I don't get it! Can anyone give me logical reasons for 13 year old girls to be wearing that much black eyeliner?

The media, just look at Hannah Montana who is the newest tween idol. She wears more makeup in every show than I have worn in my entire life. And all of this scene emo c**p. Kids aren't kids like we were anymore.

im 13 - and i agree with u - i dont get it!! - it looks way bad and makes u look fake in my opinion - they r tryin to look emo/scene juss cuz theyre lives arent perfect and they think that its cool to seem depressed - i use a small line on the tip of my eyelid - and it looks way better than the girls in my class that wear tons of it!

well first of all im forteen and when i was thirteen i didnt really know how to put on makeup so i used alot i guess.. but i think it looks good!!! :)

You'll get a logical reason when you ask a logic based question. They do it because they want to....doesn't take much brain power to figure that fact out. If you have a problem with it, simply learn to mind your own business.

for me, it makes my eyes look bigger and darger which is what i need. My skin is very pale and my eyes are not too big so i use lots of eyeliner and mascara to make my eyes basically 'pop!'

They probably want to make their eyes look bigger or they're copying someone else's look I guess. Personally, I don't really like eyeliner.

Peer pressure and because of what we see on media.

When we see Juniors and Seniors wear eyeliner it makes the younger classmen want to wear it too so they can impress the upper classmen I guess. Most young teen actresses wear eyeliner too.

I'm 14 and I only wear black eyeliner on the top lid because it makes my eye look bigger. I think it looks very natural and I don't overdo it. Sometimes I can barely tell its even there. lol
