Why o why when driving through the city today at 4pm it was 'rush hour'?

if people finish work at 5 then why was the city (not london) completely jammed with traffic at 4pm!?

Rush hour is in fact nearer 2 hours long, especially Friday's as  people like to get off early, and you would still have the school leavers in there somewhere too!

The Co. I used to work for allowed people to choose their start and stop times as long as they got in 8 hours. This allowed the parking lots to clear without the massive traffic jambs

you may not have noticed but it is nearly Christmas and lots of people go shopping for gifts, also the schools end at about 3.40

rush hour is not just one hour and never really has been i am amazed it has taken you so long to notice !!!!!!!

Why don't you work on contanental time then you would finnish work one hour diferently to every one ells.

Alot of people finish earlier on a friday, its like that where i live as well.

Picking children up from school, plus many firms finish early on Friday.

Try getting in or out of London - it starts at 6am and ends at 10am then again 3pm till 7pm.  Just too many cars on the roads now x
