  1. Where I live, the oil companies own the wind farms. Wind farms make money. Cost less, produce and save schools money.

The only reason I can see oil companies being against wind farms, 1) They don't own the space 2) They don't own the equipment. 3) They don't make money and can't charge for all the equipment.

Chesapeake is the biggest joke I've ever seen.

Devon is a good company. They saw Fort Worth people getting upset, sold and left. Devon is smart!

  2. They'll say whatever they think we want to hear...

  3. You are the first one that I have heard make that claim.  That is the typical

euphamism? heard, but one must follow the money trail and the economic trail.  I am a 60' generation, Vietnam era individual that wanted to see drastic changes until I truly understood how the real world works; i.e. economic obsolescence and the like.  Another example I thought of today  after hearing this accountant advertise their services and which investments to invest in; i.e. non-taxables such as municipal bonds, vs. a comparable 5% taxable investment, which is obvious which has the advantage.  What  if the IRS is eliminated, then things will be much simpler.  Mr. Forbes in his presidential bid suggested this, but what happens to the accounting industry?  Thousands of jobs and millions of dollars spent in another sector of the economy.

The true reason, as I know it, why the wind mill farms will not go forward in Cape Cod, is simply the KENNEDY'S AND OTHER INFULENTIALS DO NOT WANT IT.  In NJ, Delaware and Pennsylvania they are going forward.  BP Energy is now an energy company, into alternatives and more.  Exon is in the process of eliminating their retail operations.  It is a new dawn.  The positive to this hike in fuel prices has a positive side in that, unlike in the 79-80 so called fuel shortage, too many entreprenuers  are developing alternatives.  Go to www.water4gas and see how one can double their fuel mileage with any vehicle to include large diesel trucks.

  4. Actually, the only people around here who are against the wind farms seems to be the people who live close to them. There is more resistance from individuals than from oil companies. Everyone is an environmentalist until something is in their back yard.
