Question:

Why old school friends rejected friend request?

not long ago I had my high school reunion and have since added most of the people over facebook (just about our entire graduating class is friends with each other).

what puzzles me is a few people rejected my friend requests.

now we've never been bestest friends; but haven't been enemies either - we just got on ok.

at the reunion we all spoke and had a generally good time.

I'm confused why some people act all nice in person but wouldn't bother accepting such a general invite.

note: they all have 200+ friends already so it ain't really an exclusive group.

any ideas?

  1. maybe they have something on their profile or activities that they do on facebook that they don't want you to see.

maybe they like you for a school friend, but they don't consider you as a facebook friend just yet.  a lot of people are like that.

i don't think you should keep on sending friend requests just yet - it's better to send them a message by facebook first and have a few friendly conversations.  eventually, send a friend request and see if they add you.  they probably will, after getting to know you even more :)

  2. They're just rude

unless you said something to offend them in some way :/

  3. this is the way i suppose, everyone goes their way

lot of friends come and go in one's life, the person who is your best friend now- will not necessarily stay your best friend in future
