Why does ask? like it has 2 different boxes to select. one for if you were a vietnam vet and another if your a veteran at all. Why do they ask if your a vietnam veteran? Does they really consider that on if they want to employ you or not? if so i dont think that would be fair. what do you think? have you seen this before on any applications?

  1. Because there is a law that gives credit to companies that hire vietnam veterans.  They must report annually to the VA to ensure that companies are NOT discriminating against vets, which occurred over the years!  Next up...Iraqi vets.  Some stupid companies will label them WRONGLY and refuse to hire them...so I suspect the law will have to be enacted to PROTECT THEM!!  Fill it out and understand this is why it asks.

Also, the government gives preference to businesses owned by Vietnam Veterans in awarding contracts.

And thank you for your service to our country if you have!!
