The Chinese restaurants have a much more ingredients in their food. You would think the rats would be attracted to a greater choice of food. I feel sorry for the owner who gets done by the heath inspector. A rat can run in from next door and not even belong to them

  1. because they sometimes escape before they get cooked

  2. I worked in a bakery in New Zealand. It was disgusting and dangerous. The toilet was never ever cleaned (talk about germs...yuk!!) and l had to bend over a fridge freezer to use the meat cutting machine and almost chopped off my fingers everyday - had plasters on each one and all over my hands. The bakers would drop bread and cakes on the floor - then put them on display to sell - the floor of course was not clean, think what they had tread in on the way to work...and the dirt from the toilet! (pee on the floor etc). I have Chinese and Indian friends with restaurants and they are spotless and l don't really have to point that out , it is racist rubbish, watch out for the bakery and kebab shops, they are usually pretty shocking! (my locals anyway, can't paint everyone with the same brush as they say). Only lazy incompetent owners own filthy food places, from any race or country. Don't always believe things from TV and magazines, it's usually bull to get the viewing ratings up.

  3. I have worked in restaurants for nearly twenty five years, almost every one had some type of critter.  The worst was probably a popular chain of buffets. In one day I saw cockroaches, then a hugh brown lizard in the hall, a rat, several mice, a bird in the trash, and stray cats and dogs out back. It was unbelievably gross. I told my boss and he just shrugged his shoulders like it was the norm, as a big bug crawled up the wall behind him as I was speaking. I did not work there long, needless to say!...

  5. " Stereotypes and racist slurs are found in almost every movie. If you watch the movie Goonies you see how "funny" it is to take advantage of someone who does not understand the English language that well. In Trading Places, an African American played by Eddie Murphy is portrayed as a poor black man begging for money from the rich white men. Fools Rush In demonstrates and further perpetuates the "popular wisdom" by using the stereotype that maids are generally of Mexican descent. The list of movies is endless. Furthermore, what is even more dangerous is the fact that these stereotypes and racist slurs are more often laughed at than looked at critically for what they really are—many people do not even "notice" the racism in these movies. Still others refuse to admit that these movies have any impact on society as a whole and the way people see other people who are different from themselves due to the color of their skin. Most people say that one should not make such a big deal over it—that it is just good humor. An article that appeared in the Boston Globe further illustrates this point. "Media moguls tell advertisers that the more often a message is repeated, the more it affects behavior. Then they piously assure the rest of us that repeated TV violence has little influence. Let’s get real about the connections between childish notions of freedom and our children’s destruction." This point holds true for the stereotypes and racist slurs found in the media as well".
