Why on the show Reba do the people all call Barbara Jean "BJ" in the first episode ?

  1. Maybe the writers decided BJ was an ugly name, and PJ was better, but they couldn't change the initials, so they settled on Barbara Jean.

    Which, in my opinion, is not much better.


  2. I think you know why - they probably wrote "BJ" in the script, and then after it aired they got a lot of snickers, because of what "BJ" can also stand for.  You know, oral s*x.

    People at home or some scared TV executive may have thought it was too vulgar so they changed it.

    Wonder how the Hallmark Channel feels about running old "MASH" episodes with BJ Hunnicutt as a character...

  3. because on the show, Barbara Jean told Brock to tell his kids(including Reba) to call her BJ.
