Why one speaker is softer?

okay i just installed after market pioneer 6x9 speakers and they both play loud. but one is softer than the other for some reason. its barely noticeable but i want to know why. they are both running off my cd deck, the settings are equal and they can handle more than the deck can push help

  1. Well there's two things that i can think of.

    First is might be that there is a bad connection on one of the speakers somewhere in the line from the deck to the speaker. Did you run new wires from the deck or are you using the stock wiring?

    The second thing i can think of is that you are on the left side of the car in the drivers seat, and being closer to the left speaker is making it seem louder. On my kenwood system i have my right speaker at +2 to make up the distance difference.
