  1. it is a tradition and they deserve to play.

fremantle and geelong tonight will be an easy win for the cats.

may we always remember those who fought for us.

  2. its tradition mate.GO THE PIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. it's tradition.

  4. sheedy started it since then its been kind of tradition

  5. It is all about tradition I think but I do not agree with it.  These 2 clubs have big supporter bases and is Anzac Day at the MCG ever a big money spinner.  This I do not agree with and I think the draw in general should be random.  Certain teams seem to be well looked after by the AFL and sheltered from interstate trips too in many cases.  Not bloody fair!!!!!

  6. Because it was their idea to have an ANZAC day game and they have built tradition on it. If other teams wish to do something like this there are still other occasions they can have a special match allocated to, like Easter and Mothers day.

  7. -they are not the onlyy ones the fremantle dockers are playing ANZAC day as well. but they have played for a very long time therefore it is sortove a tradition for them to play today-

  8. fremantle and geelong are playing tonight too

  9. omg, now are you being serious here....come ON..this question has been asked a million times

Why the MCG...coz its the only stadium to hold 100,000 fans in Victoria.  The tradition will always stay in Victoria where it started.

The AFL didnt create this rivalry match on ANZAC Day..the clubs came up with the idea of traditional match played on this day every year to honor the soldiers

GET OVER IT - why dont other teams come up with some brilliant ideas instead of their players/supporters whining all day long.
