I've done a lot of apartment searches on Craig's List and rent in Manchester is A LOT cheaper than rent anywhere in or around Boston.  And I agree with the previous comment - it's a lot cheaper to fly out of Manchester than out of Logan in Boston.

On the plus side.....there is a great airport in Manchester.  Much easier than Logan in      Boston and the tickets are competitively priced.  Also, the taxes are MUCH lower in New Hampshire.

if you're coming from boston i would pick portland maine over manchester...manchester looks nice but has alot of crackheads and is kinda run down
