  1.   It's like going to the top of mt.Everest.

People don't know the ramifications of colonizing Mars.

One day we may visit Mars but we will never go there permanently.

  2. This is an easy question, humans sometimes find themselves caught up by what is known as "The Pioneer Spirit" or "Wanderlust" and feel the need to explore places no human has set foot before, look what happened during the last big case of "Wanderlust", humanity went to the Moon, now Mars is a planet that has the most potential for supporting human life, allot of people use the "all ones eggs in one basket" arguement for settling on Mars, but the truth is mankind needs to explore, it's in our nature.

  3. Same reason why humans have colonised the whole earth.

  4. Mars has insufficient atmosphere to logically embark on such a project right now.  I suppose, someday, technology could overcome this, but right now, even though soil conditions are allegedly good enough to grow asparagus there, the levels of carbon dioxide required for any plant to survive on Mars are inadequate.

The allure, of course, is, well, how cool would it be to colonize an off-earth site?

  5. because, Mars has cloud that is full of hydrogen. If astronauts mix it with oxygen, it will form water and fall to the ground as rain. Some astronauts believe that Mars has river at a long time ago but the water has been absorb and turn to ice under the Mars surface. I hope this will help you...
