Why our INDIAN CAPTAINS are always OVERRATED ?

right frm Ganguly to Dhoni evry one is overrated...

Ganguly : After 2003 WC,the team was overrated than 1983WC winners..and then they termed Ganguly as Lucky Man for Indian team....after Unable to cope with Pressure his batting was affected and he was out of the team

Dravid : dravid Took da captaincy frm Dada and joined hands wid Greg...the team (with young players) showed tremondous Improvement In Pakistan...thts it..the team&da captain was OVERRATED as usual...so again Dravid's Batting was affected coz of Captaincy...

Yuvraj Singh : after Dravid resigned ,I thought yuvraj will take up da captaincy...but BCCI made a Correct decision By selecting Dhoni...coz yuvarj was man in form ...so his perfomence would've affected( we saw tht in IPL)...If at all Yuvi takes up captaincy i future,then i'm 100%sure tht he'll bcome the Most Overrated Captain in the Indian History...

They are not over-ratted, they are just very very popular! And thats becoz we Indians are crazy about Cricket! I just love cricket and i like M.S.Dhoni too....

Because of the following for cricket in India.

Over 1 billion people crazy about cricket,so it's just natural that these 11 special guys representing our country become so popular.

It's not over-rated.It's just popularity.It can be +ve as well as -ve.If the captain is not doing well he will be criticized by billion people.

If he's doing well,he will become a national hero.That's the way it is.

If Shoaib Malik was our captain,we would have been burning his effigies everywhere in India.

In India the Captains are probably so overarted because Cricket is a religion for Indians which makes the captains their Gods , which is why they expect so much from the captains after a few good matches

Hero worshiping is our greatest weakness. Lets look at Nehru family OK Jawaharlal was great but what about Indira Gandhi? and Sanjay Gandhi? and Rajiv Gandhi? and now Sonia Gandhi? God can't be so partial to one family to bless them with so many greats so what's the secret? Our hero worshiping has make these people great by accepting rather selecting them to rule the nation.

In cricket also some family members have benefited by our hero worshiping as well. All Dhoni, Dravid, Sachin are just about average captains on the international standards but they are greatest in india because our media people love to excite our emotions by making up stories about out cricketers and we are fools to believe every word printed.
