Why our scientist did not get a Nobel prize since 1947 ?

There are no reservation there . But what have we achieved at the top. duplicating the efforts to send a spacecraft to MOON ?

  1. the human spirit is enduring and perplexing.  we will never know how it works in one society and not the other. we never know how the challenges we face will enable a genius or something extraordinary to happen.  

    toynbee mentioned that when soc reaches a certain level of maturity, beyond bread-and-butter issue that we can reach that intellectual sublimity.  look at the inventors / achievers, besides brain power, social / econ / political opportunities exist to allow them to achieve that smthing extra.  as they say, necessity is the mother of invention. so lets be patient..  also, the world is still dominated by the anglo-saxons. so we hv to wait a little while more


  2. Nobel prizes are usually given to those who push the outer limits of scientific achievement, rather than synthesizing and amplifying the ideas of others.

    Your scientist must not have pushed that envelope enough to be recognized.
