Doesn't one go where others have already gone...for comfort and understanding. I'd make a big move knowing family and friends were on the other end. Also there is a long history between the two countries that also provide a sense of stability and tradition and pride i would imagine.....

How do you know that they are more interested to migrate to UK rather than any other country?  For example, about 60% of the population of the United Arab Emirates is from India or Pakistan...  There are significant populations of people from the Indian subcontinent all over the world.  It is called economic migration - compared to what they have in India, they are very wealthy, even doing manual jobs like digging ditches.
