Question:

Why people stare at you and your food?

Hi,

I am a 22 year old guy living in Canada. I sometimes go to the mall and have lunch. So I get my food on the tray and walk around to find a spot (Its really hard to find a place to sit down because the people who finished eating do not leave for hours) and I always notice people are staring at me and when I sit down to eat they stare at my food. This is not just me though, I have seen other people get stared also. Is it because I have lots of food on the plate? I usually eat Greek (Rice, Roasted chicken, Baked potatoo and vegetables). Its sometimes really uncomfortable to eat when your being stared at. Funny how it sounds. So what are you opinion on this.

Thanks in advance!

  1. they are wondering what they want to eat and they look at you to see if you are enjoying it or if you look like you just ate a bug

  2. I too live in Canada and eat at food courts in malls and I do not find anybody staring at my food or otherwise. If you are feeling self-conscious, get yourself a book or the papers and busy yourself while eating!

  3. tell them to mind their own business  and throw

    chicken at them

  4. I wouldn't take it personally regarding what you're eating etc. I think it's just something that a lot of people do when they're eating out, people like to see what others have. I was in a restaurant today and when the table next to us was served I just couldn't help glancing over to see what they had, although I wouldn't stare continuously, just a quick nosey!

  5. good question, i don't know. my friend always tells me her coworkers star at her food then watch her eat. like people are say why did you order that or i would not eat that, well guess what, you don't have to eat it, i am paying for it, or i made it. get the frick out of my face you ol trick punk. sorry upset bout dat

  6. They are looking to see what you have ordered, and possibly curious about how they might like that another time. Curious about how it tastes, debating trying somthing different. LOL. Its so funny you should ask this because I do that all the time at restaurants. Look to see what other people are ordering. Its no big deal, just curiosity. :)
