Why people use air-freshener?

I want to find consumer insight of air- freshner. So answer I expect insight related.

Urrrrrpaaadurrrr !!!What a stupid question !!! What other reason would someone have to use air-freshener, other than the air smells or stinks ? They obviously want the air to smell better, so they use air-freshener.

because it smells better than p**p. and some kill bacteria too so you are not inhaling the fecal matter.

plus its nice to go into someones house and it smell nice because it feels more comfortable. I wouldnt want to come back to someones house if it smelled like rotting cabbage. same with cars.

'cause if the air smells  or stinks who would want to stick around? So people use it to improve what people think of them.
