There are great prophets (a muslim leader sent down form God) from the muslim faith who have proved idols fake there was one prohet at the time of him people used to pray infront of idols thinking they had many powers one day the prophet went to the place were the idols were kept and broke all of them with a ax expect from the biggest one he the put the ax on the biggest idol and then in the morning every one came and started to say what had happend to these stones and idols the prophet replies that the biggest idol had broke all of them but the people said thats inpossible because the idols not real it does not move breath or any thing then the prohet said well then why do you worship them if the idols are powerless the poeple were astonished with this and never prayed a idol again.

  1. because they are mentally disturbed

  2. Why not?  Christians worship a dead guy hung on sticks.

  3. To worship a 'something' - maybe as a memorial.

We all have something we like looking at

  4. People do it because it was what their ancestors had done and its the only way for them to communicate with them like they're real human.

I don't do that at all. That's idolatry.

  5. yeah it does make sense ,I wonder why we have statues of Jesus and marry all over the world ,are those Idols too ?

  6. Usually people who did this practice had no education and thought the slightest thing should be worshiped. Now a days its rare to have people worship rocks, stones, and statues, but you do have a select few villagers who do so. ..

  7. Thanks for trying to teach me the right way.

    *enter sarcasm here*

I suppose you would say the same thing if it was a statue of Allah right?

You can't have it both ways.

Statues are symbolic. Stones hold energy which is inherent in them because they are from the Earth. I do not worship statues or stones...but I do have both.

  8. They worship idols for the same reason the people of today worship invisible forces, so they belive in something.
